This is a comprehensive sewing course for those 10 years and older. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine and work on projects that are skill-based in which to build your sewing confidence. It is the intent of instructor to work with students to complete projects during the course. Students will have sewing homework and will finish three or more projects during course. Classes offered from Beginning to Basic Beginning.
This is an ongoing class for those 13 and older (sometimes younger), divided into a teen and adult classes. Students will choose the projects that they would like to do with the guidance of instructor. Projects that are fun and skill based will be suggested. Additionally, students will be putting together a sample portfolio of different sewing techniques that can be used as reference for future projects.
QUILTING: Open to ANYONE who knows how to sew a straight seam. Learn the basics of quilting which include piecing, rotary cutting, pressing, trimming and putting your quilt together and the steps to bind your quilt.
ONE PROJECT CLASS: Open to ANYONE who knows how to sew and would consider themselves fairly confident! These classes will be focused on learning one project for the class. Examples might be a Beach Bag, Pants, Paneled Skirt.
Summer Sewing Camps will only be held in June 2024.
Classes run Monday - Thursday.
Students will learn how to use a sewing machine and complete 3 - 4 skill based projects.
Adults are welcomed to take classes with their child.
Additionally, two weekly, adult evening classes will be offered in June and July.
